Updating Pic

Several people have mentioned that we need to update our picture on the blog. It was just taken 2 weeks ago and it just happens that we had several people not there on that Tuesday night. We will plan on taking another picture on this upcoming Tuesday night, April 24th. Please, spread the word and be there if possible so that you are on our fun webpage!

Keep reading our study book, remember to finish Chapter 1 & 2 and come prepared with a reflective thought or two on your reading.

See you in just a few if your attending Saturday night group,

Beginning a New Study

If you received our new book this week, Diaries of a Teenage Girl, at group then you should be ready to begin our new study. If you are one of the few that did not receive a book but are anxiously awaiting one please send me a quick e-mail or phone call and I will mail a copy of the first 2 chapters out to you ASAP.

As you begin to read thru the book and get a feel for the writing style it might be a good idea to have a piece of paper nearby. You can begin to jot down notes and points of interest that jump out at you as you read. We want to hear your thoughts at group on Tuesday!!

More, ponderings on the book to come soon .......

~Dawn

P.s. I am going to try and attach a calendar to our blog. Please, fill it in with your sporting/choir/drama/band/etc events so we as a group can pray for you and hopefully attend a few.

Diary of a Teenage Girl

In the fictional Diary of a Teenage Girl, sixteen-year-old Caitlin O'Conner reveals the inner workings of a girl caught between childhood and womanhood ... an empty life without Christ and a meaningful one with Him. Through Caitlin's candid journal entries we see her grapple with such universal teen issues as peer pressure, loyalty, conflict with parents, the longing for a boyfriend, and her own spirituality. Readers will laugh and cry with Caitlin as she struggles toward self-discovery and understanding God's plan for her life. And they'll be deeply moved by her surprising commitment regarding dating.
Please, remember to bring $5 to small group on Tuesday night. We will begin our study on the book listed above and chat briefly about the description. Be prepared to dig deep!

Welcome Ladies!

Hi everyone,

Welcome to our new Village Baptist Church Middle School Girls blog! I will plan to post messages 1 - 2 x a week so make sure and check back often. It will give us all a great chance to check in with each other during the week and post comments as we read thru our study book and just about our weeks in general. You can also expect to see information regarding middle school events, etc so if you ever have questions or your parents need additional information this is a great place to check.

Post a comment when you have found our cool new page on the web!!

Love Ya,
Dawn
